Are You a Home Owner or Home Seller? Here’s how to Claim your Home on Zillow and Trulia.

As a Home Owner or future Home Seller, you may not be aware that Zillow and Trulia already have a listing of your Home online.  The current listing may show data that has been pulled from Public Records and other sources. The listing may have a status of “Off Market” or “Public Record”, among others.

As a Property Owner, you are able to Claim and Update your Home listing on these two sites. The advantages of doing this are:

  • Your Zestimate or Home Value will be a little more accurate considering recent remodeling or renovations.
  • You will prevent fraudulent claims of ownership or unauthorized listings of your home.
  •  You will be able to update or add your home features and amenities.

Here is how to Claim your Home on Zillow.

  1. First go to Zillow.com
  2. In the Search bar type in your home address and Enter
  3. Then click on Correct Home Facts
  4. Either Sign in or Create a New Account with Zillow
  5. Once logged in, just follow the steps to Claim and Update your Home Listing

Here is how to Claim your Home on Trulia.

  1. First go to Trulia.com
  2. In the Search bar type in your home address and Enter
  3. Then click on Edit Home Facts
  4. Either Sign in or Register with Trulia
